Aztec Marching Biscuits
Aztec Marching Biscuits
You can find the recipe for these delicious biscuits at Kate Wood’s Raw Living Site. I made half a batch but I used more than the suggested water quantity. Half a batch would be 2.5 cups of water and I used 4 cups as I seem to remember that I needed to add more water last time. If and when you try these let me know what you did and how it works out 🙂
Kate calls these Aztec Marching biscuits, presumably because they keep you going! I don’t know about that but I can see how they set you up for the day given that they’re mostly made from chia seeds and flax seeds. Last time I made these I remember slathering them with chocolate spread (avocado, cacao, agave, himalayan salt) and topping that with half a date: indulging my sweet tooth!  See that post here.
These will be dehydrating while I’m at work today. This evening I just need to flip them over, cut them into squares, and then continue drying for a while (about 6 hours I think).
